FASHION FORTUNES TOLD THROUGH FOLDED FUN!
PAWTUCKET, RI -- If’n Books + Marks has a new addition to its line of handmade journals, albums and bookmarks. Please help us welcome into the world - The Fortune Kooky. The Fortune Kooky is a sassy update on the classic kids’ game, the "kootie catcher" or "fortune teller." Available in six different themes to suit any occasion: Office, Birthday, Romance, Fashion, Decision-Maker, and Party, the Fortune Kooky is the perfect gift or party favor. Each package includes one Fortune Kooky, a handy instruction sheet, and a mailable envelope.
HOW TO PLAY
The player chooses from a series of retro-designed words and numbers to get to the center-fold fortunes by flipping and unfolding the origami game. Featuring stylish graphics and hip collages, the Fortune Kooky inspires repeated use - in addition to one’s desire to finally get the fortune that best suits you!
The Fashion-themed Fortune Kooky provides a variety of guidance to help you get ready in the morning, primp for a party, or recreate your style consciousness:
• Black is the new black.
• The best accessory is good posture.
• If the shoe almost fits, wear it!
• The fashion police have issued a restraining order on white pumps.
• Fashion sense does not always equal common sense.
• A mud mask will only get you skin deep.
• You are so retro, you’re ahead of your time.
• You’re beautiful on the inside and ravishing on the outside.
"The Fortune Kooky is a fun little trinket to get people talking, and a healthy tool to plan out the rest of your days," says Deb Dormody, owner of If’n Books + Marks. "Forget tarot and tea leaves, the Fortune Kooky is the wave of the future." While the Fortune Kooky does not address the formulaic predictions of having 10,000 babies with Tommy, it does provide a scaled balance from curious concepts and measured misfortune, to helpful tips and fabulous fortune. Retailing at around $7, it’s a safe investment.
The fine print: Although the Fortune Kooky cannot guarantee that it is certain of one’s future, coincidence, vagueries and planetary alignment may work in its favor.
